Cream Crackered

Oh boy, I’m cream crackered right now, if you don’t know what that means, it means I’m tired right now.

As I’m writing this it is just past 11am here in the UK. Now why am I tired at this time.

You see I started a job:

This week I’m on a 2pm to 10pm shift, so it means I have to get everything crammed in around a 7 hour period, I get up at 6am after getting to bed around midnight.

So I tend to wind down when I get home, which means I don’t get a whole lot done when I get home, this means I have started to neglect a few things, yes I’m going to get a ton more stuff done in the 7 hour period before I go to work.

So that means concentrating more on clicking on my 7 core PTCs (yes 7 now not 6) as I originally mentioned in this post:

If you didn’t already know I added Dr Clix from John Novak to the core PTCs I’m clicking on.

Tiredness anyway is just a state of mind, if you focus your mind on the stuff you have to do and not let the thought of tiredness creep in, you tend to get a second wind as it were and the tiredness soon disappears.

So when you’re feeling tired and the lucozade doesn’t appear to be working then focus on something else and see what happens.

Let me know in the comments below if this works for you.

All the best

  1. “Oh boy, I’m cream crackered right now, if you don’t know what that means” = Cockney rhyming slag for knackered, knackered is to feel so tired your dead on your feet, a knacker is somebody who buys and slaughters old, worn-out, or injured horses for their body parts such as their flesh and hide. Not nice but that’s a full answer for you.

      1. Drink lots of water and stop what you are doing once an hour and do something physical for 5 to 10 minutes, then get back to work. You will find you stay more focused if you take the break and more productive.

  2. I myself am a workaholic.. always trying to cram something else in. That is all well and good but you have to be careful… maybe it is just old age creeping in but about a month ago I was running a fever so went to the doctor thinking maybe it was the flu. Boy was I surprised when he told me I was suffering from exhaustion! So just make sure you do get some rest too! πŸ™‚

  3. Hi Richard I had that happen to me last night. But I fell asleep on the couch first about 9 am too tired to do anything. Then after I woke up at about 11pm and I had a red Bell pepper and some water. I love veggies! ( I had 3 meals during the day of course. I had a veggie protein drink for breakfast with coconut milk and frozen berries. Black beans, brown rice, tacos, organic New Zealand Cheddar, Cheese for Lunch and Popcorn for dinner with the birds cooked in Olive Oil. I don’t always eat popcorn. I normally eat a huge salad.) Anyway after eating a late snack of red Bell pepper, I managed to stay up almost until 2 am. Not good though because I like to get up at a decent hour like 7 or 8 am and get enough rest for this 60 year old body. πŸ™‚ Before that at 7 pm I went on an hour walk with my neighbor. And I work on and off through out the day and take care of my little cockatiels, Baby and Beenie πŸ™‚

    1. I also take ballet classes 3 days a week for an hour an a half on Monday and Wednesday night at 7 pm, and Saturday for 2 hours from 10: 30 am to 12:45 pm. 15 minutes of that class is meditation. Then Thursday night I take an hour yoga class. And then I walk on Tuesday night, Friday night and Sunday afternoon with my neighbor for an hour or more. πŸ™‚

  4. I have felt this way yesterday. I finally gave in and took a four-hour nap! Today, I do not feel at all motivated, and with all these Spreecasts and such, I feel like I have a good case of information overload! Sometimes I think too much is simply too much!
